Untold Studios London -The Woman King – Movie 2022

The Woman King is an upcoming historical action drama film that tells the story of the Agojie, a group of female warriors who defended the kingdom of Dahomey in West Africa against colonial invaders in the 19th century. The film stars Viola Davis as Nanisca, the leader of the Agojie, and Thuso Mbedu as Nawi, her daughter and protégé. The film is directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and written by Dana Stevens and Maria Bello .

I worked on The Woman King as a modeling texture artist, which means I created realistic and detailed textures for the 3D models of the characters, props and environments in the film. I used software such as Maya, Mudbox, Substance Painter and Photoshop to design and apply textures that matched the historical setting and the artistic vision of the director. I also collaborated with other artists and supervisors to ensure consistency and quality across the film. Working on The Woman King was a challenging but rewarding experience that allowed me to showcase my skills and learn from talented professionals in the industry.
